I love playing hand-held games such as bop-it, groov it and the second and third bop-its that have come out. There is also a game called zing-it, wich I have. If there are any other handheld games, please let me know.

I have a Copy Cat's game, a more complicated and random version of Simon, which has games on there for up to six players, a Bop it Exgtreme 2 this Harry Potter magic wand/broomstick game where you have to do what it does or says and you go through several rounds till you eventually beat it, and a Rock it. I've explained what that is and what it does elsewhere, in Accessible Electronic games.

One game worth seeking out if you can find it is Nemesis Factor. It's a puzzle game which is completely accessible. I don't think they make it anymore, but you might find it on ebay.

what does torks look like?

Post 12 by shadow of john (Veteran Zoner) on Thursday, 25-Jan-2007 12:37:16

when you first take it out, it has it's two arms bent. You can straighten the arms, and when you do, you'll notice the arms are attached by some sort of cuppling to a central core circle thing. Thos circle has a switch on it. if the switch is fasing you, slide the switch up to turn it on. The patteries go on the opposite side of the circle, but it needs two screws to be taken out first.
Hope this helps.

My girlfriend got me a new one this year called Fast Fingers. She got it at Independent Living Aids, but I'm guessing you could find it anywhere toys like that are sold.

Post 14 by Polka dots and Moonbeams (I've now got the bronze prolific poster award! now going for the silver award!) on Monday, 29-Jan-2007 8:46:02

Where do you find bopit and torx and these games? I'll look on independent living and maxie aids... Any further suggestions?

Post 15 by bozmagic (The rottie's your best friend if you want him/her to be, lol.) on Monday, 29-Jan-2007 11:58:53

Hmmm! I've never seen a handheld game called Torx in my life, but you can find Bop it in any highstreet shops here in the UK, Amazon or just any online toyshop really, same with Rock It.

There is also brainwarp. Isn't really made anymore but maybe you can find it online.

Post 21 by talksina (Veteran Zoner) on Tuesday, 27-Feb-2007 8:51:09

I love handheld logic games
I have K-Ball now, but... don't know how to solve it! I just filled 3 faces in, but every face has 3 numbers instead of 4 as it should be! I am really negative to do these games, even if I love them
I saw also bop-it on BrailleGifts.com, but as I am italian I don't really know how it works with batteries and similar things, I am afraid to buy something electronic abroad
and here we do not sell those games. :-(

Post 22 by sugar (Entertain me. I dare you.) on Tuesday, 27-Feb-2007 19:38:31

I managed to find Nemesis Factor on ebay. It's so addictive! It's great! Now just gotta find the money to buy others if I can find them, hehe hehe, Danielle goes back to primary school, lol

There used to be a game called henry. Basically, you have a big button at the top called henry. You press this bar-shaped button to get a sound, and there is a grid of 4 by 4 rubber buttons. Four rows of four. You have to find the sound you got when you pushed the top button. A start button scrambled the sounds.
This game isn't made anymore that i know of.
There is also a similar game called bird brain, where you have to match parts of phrases.

Henry was made by Tiger toys.
Bp it is good, i wouldn't mind the extreme II.

Brane warp and brane bash are awesome games. I still ahve them to this day. I also have henry, bopit, and a talking battleship/

Post 26 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Saturday, 07-Apr-2007 0:13:50

I don't remember what happened to Bop it. I used to play it all the time. How do you play Brain Bash?

Post 27 by The Elemental Dragon (queen of dragons) on Saturday, 07-Apr-2007 21:44:19

Simon, BopIt, BopIt Extreme and a talking chess game. fun times, these r fun times.

Post 28 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Monday, 09-Apr-2007 3:08:11

Simon sounds like fun. Is there a version with only sounds instead of colored lights?

Post 29 by jessmonsilva (Taking over the boards, one topic at a time.) on Monday, 09-Apr-2007 12:00:44

Omg brain bash was freaking awesome. Basically you had like 8 dots and it's like a math game so it gets a little confusing, but you answer the math problems and see how many you can answer in a certain amount of time. IT also has harder levels and stuff, it's like really fun. I also have both bop it and bop it extreme and brain warp. One other game you guys might wanna try if you can find it is, an adaptation to an old game called twister. Basically, if you remember twister, you had a big matt with a bunch of dots and a spinner and you had to put like certain body parts on those dots and you couldn't fall down. Well, this game is very similar, accept you have like this little cube, and you and a partner have to put certain parts of your body on the colors on the cube, it tells you which color and everything, it's really freaking fun to play.

Wow, I have most of those games you guys mentioned, Torx, Henry, Brain Warp, Brain Bash, Bop it extreme 1 and 2, Simon, although I have the big one with the lights. They're fun to play! I used to have Copycat, but someone left it at my aunt's house for a really long time, and the batteries got all gross and messed it up, so I was sad. I also have a pretty cool game called Light Wars, which is like you shoot at the other lights and defend your own territory, I would think you'd have to have some vision to play it ghough since you have to know where the lights are. It really is too bad they don't make most of those games anymore, because they're awesome. I used to have that twister game too, it was called Totally Twister, but I have no idea what happened to it. Oh yeah, and I have this other game called Questionaire. It's a little ball, and you smack it and it asks you a question. Then you press either a, b, or c to answer the question, and you have like 20 seconds or something like that to answer. Good times!
